Bridgewater State University and McGill sign MOU
Enhance opportunities for Canadian studies
On June 19, 2013, Bridgewater State University and McGill University signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Montreal. The MOU is a general agreement to cooperate in joint ventures of common interest between the two institutions, which will include faculty research cooperation, guest lecturing, undergraduate student research conferences and study tours, among other possibilities. They are currently discussing a rotating guest lecture series in Canadian Studies and hope to put such an arrangement in place in the coming academic year.
The Bridgewater State University Canadian Studies Program, founded in 1973, is one of the preeminent Canadian Studies programs in New England, which features Massachusetts’ only public university endowed Visiting Chair, the Annual Distinguished Canadian Address and student exchanges through the Killam Fellowship and Exchange Program. The Consulate General has been pleased to partner with BSU to feature events and conferences that examine key Canadian and bilateral issues.
